Hi Guys,
We are in the process of migrating MS sql server 2008 to Oracle11g with patch set2. After performing the migration we found that 50% of data missing in the target system.(Size of the Target is 1.2Tb). We are using Software Provisiong Tool 1.0.
Could you please suggest the terms which is not allowing the complete data(3TB).
Thanks,
Shanmuga.
Hi Shanmuga,

How did you analyze 50% data is missing in the target system.
Are u comparing the database size of source and target ?

Hi Shanmuga,
Well, the fact that the target database is smaller than the source does not always mean that theres less data some space is recovered because the export force a reorganization.
In anycase if data was missing I think that the best logical explanation would be that either the export was not completed successfully or that some data was place in custom tablespaces unknown to the data dictionary.
Have you done a consistency check between the database and the abap dictionary in your source system?

Hi Shanmuga.
Better raise the SAP Oss Message because we may need to check all the installation log file
Thanks
