SAPgui Java 7.30 shows 7.20 - SM04 Detail

Hi,

This is probably more a request for the developers. If you login with SAPgui Java 7.30(any revision) and you check the properties of this client eg SM04 -> Detail ...it shows as GUI Version 7.20

Please could you change this to reflect the correct version. It would also be nice if you could display the revision in the same manner used for SAPgui Windows patch.

The reason I'm asking for this is because we have a custom program to determine whether people are upgrading their clients and it is useless without the correct detail from the client.

Hello Nelis,

SAP GUI for Java and Windows are built of various layers. The layer, which reports this number, is indeed 7.20.

To have the exact version of SAP GUI, you can write some ABAP coding calling method GET_GUI_VERSION of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
