Hi Experts,

im working on IDOC_AAE to web-service scenario.

i referred, the below blog: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-31398.

im stuck with below issue.

When i ping the channel

no data is coming to PI.

If i give the ACK destination in the communication channel, it is giving the error as " destination not found"

In NWA,i did the following settings

1) Inbound RA :

MaxReaderThreadCount"  to 10

Enter "true" for Local.

2) XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_PIPIT,PIPIT refers to the PI system ID.

3) SM 59 : type T connection and given the ECC gateway host and service.

4) we 21 : port creation

5) We20 partner profiles

6) BD 54 logical system

7) BD 64 Distribution model

i have not done anything in PI.

Through some ideas to resolve this issue.

Regards

Bhargava krishna

Hi,

You are getting error for acknowledgment destination since your scenario is IDoc to Webservice. Have you selected the option for IDoc acknowledgment in IDoc Sender channel? If yes, remove it if you don't want IDoc acknowledgments. If you need IDoc acknowledgments ( System acknowledgments), then provide a destination here which points from PI to sender business system as acknowledgment will go from PI to sender system. You might also want to refer to:

i did not use any acknowledgement, but if i dont give the ack destination, it is giving the error as mentioned in my first port.

Hi,

In that case you should refer to SAP Note 1826256..

For temporary workout,in IDOC communication channel, i have mentioned the destination, which we created in ECC.

after mentioning that, Channel got activated but the channel is in Error state " SAP BACK END is not available to connect"

Hi Bhargava,

Could you please let me know if the SAP note resolves this issue. Also, could you please tell the version of PI you are working on.

Hi Adarsh,

Thanks for your response...

Basis team is working on it. im using PI 7.3 EHP1 sp05.

In the sap note as a temporary solution, we have to provide the Destination which we created in ECC in IDOC communication channel.

If i give that, in the communication channel, it is showing the issue as SAP back-end is not available, when i ping the communication channel from RWB.

I have query regarding RFC parameters in IDOC communication channel.

Actually we are defining the RFC parameters in NWA. so what should we mention in RFC server parameters.

Default (Recommended)

From NWA

What should we provide in the communication channel default or from NWA.

if i provide NWA, it is showing ResourceAadapter:InboundRA is not found.

Hi Bhargava,

>>What should we provide in the communication channel default or from NWA

  • We can use "Default" or "From NWA" i think there is no diffrence in the functionality...

>>if i provide NWA, it is showing ResourceAadapter:InboundRA is not found.

  • Please make sure that the Destination which you are giving in "inboundRA" should be "XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION" and this destination should be exist in the NWA -> Configuration -> Infrastructure -> Destination of type RFC destination and Please restart the inboundRA service.

Hello,

U have to provide a destination name which exist under NWA -> configuration -> infrastructure -> destination -> RFC type destination pointing to ur SAP system (client specific)..

U can use the same destination which you have used in your Idoc receiver channel...

Thanks

Do we need to create the destination for this? if so where should we create in PI or ECC?

Hello,

What's the ack destination name which you have used in PI? It seems RFC destination (XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_****_RD1 - created in PI) which u have used in idoc sender channel is not able to connect to ur backend system?

Ping your RFC destination (XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_****_RD1) from NWA and see if the connectivity is working fine?

Thanks

Hi Amit,

I have not used this destination in my IDOC communication channel.

i have given : XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_PIT

this is the destination which i have created in ECC and PI. i have tested the destination, it is working fine.

not the " XI_IDOC_DEFAULT_DESTINATION_RD1"
