Greetings Liliana,

Could you validate that the SAP GUI7.30 you are using has the latest sapsetup patch 35 applied.  If you have any combination of Windows 8, Office 2013 or Internet Explorer 9 or above, then I would really recomend applying core patch 5 due out by July 12.

Cheers,

Dan Mead

Hi Liliana,

Please check by updating the existing version of SAPGUI with the latest version (i.e. in your system).

Thanks & Regards,

Ananth.

Hi Liliana,

What is the GUI version ?

Can you try running the GUI installation check? Open log on pad --> click on top left of the window --> select 'About' --> select the installation check option. See if there are any errors.

Hello Liliana,

Since 7.20 is out of support, can  you test with 7.30 and patch 4?

Does the Windows event viewer  (eventvwr.exe) tell you anything at all?

Hi Liliana,

Try 'restore defaults' option in GUI.

Thanks Jude,

Let's try one of the users installing version 7.30 for now with the patch 4 regarding the message windows viewer it generates is this:

    saplgpad.exe

    7200.3.12.1075

    4fe82e0b

    AcroRd32.dll

    10.1.0.534

It is as if the system had the ability to open the document and then try again that it opens well, the error occurs only sometimes.

If the issue occurs only when opening Adobe Reader, try disabling the Security options in Adobe Reader:

Main menu Edit -> Preferences -> (CTRL+K) -> Security (Enhanced) -> Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode at startup" and uncheck "Enable Enhanced Security" and see does this work.
