Multiple Specifications in QM

I started a discussion on multiple specs over under the Chemicals space.

It's very related to QM obviously so I hope that those of you who have used multiple specs or have considered them for an implementation will go over there and provide your opinion on them for me.

I don't need help setting it up!  :-). I have done it.  You must not have read the posting.  Read my post again please.  I'm looking for opinions on multi-specs and how well it's been received and the pros & cons of their use.
