posting period for idoc mbgmcr goods movement

Hi

i am trying to run idoc mbgmcr as a standard inbound function module in we19

i use posting date 20070415 - i get posting period 004 2007 is not open

so i try using posting date 20070515 - i get posting only possible in 2007/04 and 2007/03

so i go into mmpv for cc 3000 2007 04 - i see the current period(mo/yr) for control rec is 04 2007

i also go into omsy and i see for cc 3000 2007 4

so i assume it should let me post using a posting date 20070415

so i guess i am really confused about this posting date for mbgmcr

i have already tried to close an old period and open a new that is why i am at period 04 2007

any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

is it because the FI posting period is not open ? You mentioned about MMposting periods being open....

IS your goods movement creating an FI document...?

Check F-60 ...

i am not familiar with fi document i do not know how to check f-60.

i am trying to post idoc mbgmcr goods receipt for a po.

i am only familiar with the mm posting periods.

can you please guide me

Even though you are posting only a material document, the goods movement that you are doing might be having an FI impact, what i mean is the system might be trying to post an FI document behind the scenes....I am just guessing here as you nhave very clearly said that you have all the MM periods open..right...

Basically look for an entry in F-60 for your company code in the field 'Var', '+' indicates all accoutn types (your case would be an 'M') and may be there is an entry 1 to ZZZZZZ for accounts(or something like that - basically all), and the priod range....

If you can cross check this with a functional consultant..i would recommend so as i am a technical person and i might have missed something....

what transaction do i use to look in f-60 i have no funtional consultant

F-60 is the transaction code....an alternative way could be to use OB52...or you can maintain entries in the view V_T001B....

I talked to an FI consultant about the problem you are having and the solution i proposed and he also agrees with me....

since you have the MM period open, it is the FI period that might be having the problem...

okay so here is the scoop

i went into ob52 i saw for my cc 3000

from period year to period year

3000+ 1 2003 12 2006

3000A ZZZZZZ 1 2003 12 2006

3000D ZZZZZZ 1 2003 12 2006

3000K ZZZZZZ 1 2003 12 2006

3000S ZZZZZZ 1 2003 12 2006

so i went ahead and changed all the 2006 to 2007

now at least i get a different error when trying to use idoc mbgmcr to post a goods receipt for a po

i use posting date 04/15/2007

now i get for object rf_beleg 3000, number range interval 50 does not exist FBN1

so i absolutely know nothing about FI and what i need to change in this transaction ob52 but i think that is what needs to be done

so ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED DIRECTING ME IN WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IN THIS TRANSACTION

Hi Janice,

Now the problem i think is that the number range for FI documents need to be maintained...

Use transaction code FBN1 to do this....

give company code 3000...click change intervals...

make sure there is an entry for No.50, and year 2007...you can have the same details as the 50 for 2006 and change year to 2007....

<i>i have already tried to close an old period and open a new that is why i am at period 04 2007</i> - i think this is the problem.....see you have closed the old period of 03 2007and opened 04 2007 .....but the IDOC which you are trying to post is having the creation date of 03 2007.....so SAP is not posting it in 04 2007 period.........
