Hi Developers,
I am vamsi, I am doing an application with "like" query. But i am getting error.
i.e
If i enter a name vamsi, that shows a record.
but if i enter vam, i need to use wild card in query.then i am getting an error like this
SELECT x.* FROM Customer x
WHERE x.fname = :PName
This is working,but
SELECT x.* FROM Customer x
WHERE x.fname LIKE %:PName%
I want to do the search like this, Is this possible in SUP?
Thanks & Regards,
Vamsi.K
Hi Vamsi,
I too have same problem with like query, if any body know this suggest me.

We had the same problem, it is a bug in SUP. Wildcards together with "LIKE" will not work. You have to select every single attribute, if you want to use "LIKE". Try it this way:
SELECT x.fname, [other attributes] FROM Customer x
WHERE x.fname LIKE %:PName%

Have you tried with quotes (single is most likely) about the like phrase? [if you search on SQL Syntax for Like, you will see the phrase to be match must be in quotes]
What is the underlying database?
