Hi Everyone
I have successfully installed (SAP ABAP+ SAP JAVA and XI) but I don't recall installing SLD during the WAS 6.4 installation process. Did I missed any steps or how do i verify SLD is successfully installed and configured
Thanks again.
Hi Ravi,
The System Landscape Directory 6.40 is installed as a part of the SAP Web AS Java 6.40 SR1 system
The following steps are required to configure the SLD for XI:
Applying SAP Note 712594
Maintaining SLD Connection Parameters in the Integration Server
Maintaining Server Settings in the SLD
Updating the CR Data
Configuring the SLD Bridge
Maintaining a Business System for the Integration Server
You can find more information in SAP Exchange Infrastructure Installation Guide under Post Installation Activities -> Performing System Landscape Directory (SLD) Configuration (Page 34)

Ravi,
Just do post installation steps using template installer. Then it should take care of everything.
Also you can use transaction SLDCHECK to verify SLD is successfully installed and configured. But before this you have to do post installation steps as given in the installation document.

Hi Ravi...
The SLD its part of the Java Stack in a WebAS installation, but you have to do some post-installation step to configure the SLD for running ok, look for the Installation Guide of XI in the SMP http://service.sap.com/instguides
I hope this aid you

What version of XI did you install? In the latest version you can log into the Netweaver Administrator at:
In the Deploy & Change tab there are template installers that you can execute. These will add the entry for your system into the SLD and configure it for you. But be careful only to do them once, and do the NWA template before the PI one.

Hi Ravi,
The SLD component gets installed by default along with the installation steps...However, as part of the post installation configurations there are certain steps that you need to complete...
Have you completed the post installation activities/steps?
Thanks,
Renjith
