Hi everone..
I have a few question to this group .
I am trying to do a DB refresh production to an alternate server.
Is there a way i can do it from sap level ( any tools)?any documents i can follow?
I have refered few sites on the net which say backup the control file, edit it
with the new sid and change the sql statement CREATE DATABASE to some
thing else.
can anyone tell me what all changes we need to make at SAP level to make
test database similar to the production?
How do I refresh the production data with the test database from sap level?
Does SAP provide any offical document for database refresh?
Awaiting replys'
Thank you.
Kiran Kumar.
Hi Kumar,
copying a database is not in the scope of a SAP application server.
Anyhow you may easily use the BRTOOLS to perform copy of the productive system.
See note
<a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1003028">1003028 - Enhanced support for system copy in BR*Tools</a>
for details on this.
Hope that helps.
