SAP CO master data mandatory fileds

Hello gurus,

I am new to Data migration job role, cleanising team asking CO Master data mandatory fileds ( as per SAP Best practices).

Can any body help me in this.

1) How many masterdata we have in CO module and mandatory fileds in that

Hi Kris,

Below are the master datas in co, we don't have choice to have optional/required etc for some of the them. if option is available to change the status, we cannot generalize, it varies from organization to organization

Cost Element

Cost Center

Activity Type

Statistical Key Figure

Internal Order

Profit Center

Characteristics values

Hello Kris,

The CO Master Data are Creation Of Cost Element, Cost Center, Activity Types, Statistical Key Figures, Internal Orders, Profit Centers, And Characteristic Values. The fields That is In cost Element is Cost Element Category. Since it differentiates the type and nature of cost.

If u come to Cost Center the most important field which links with work center of Activity Types is Cost Center Categories.

Come to Activity types then it is Activity type category. That means Cost Center, Cost Element, Work Center and Activity Type are linked With those of Categories.

I think This information sufficient, The remaining Fields are common like text, etc.
