Populate a dropdown box with values

Hi,

In EM i want to show a drop down box with some 10 values which are pre-defined. How do i do that? these values will not come from Application system but will come from EM only.

Hi,

if you prefer drop-down to F4-help, you can define value sets for parameters in the customizing:

If such a value set is available for a parameter, drop-down box is automatically displayed in case of single value selection configured field for selection.

you could create an F4-Help in SE11 and attach it to your configured field in transaction /SAPTRX/UCCF.

1. So what you are suggesting is that we create a custom table in SE11 with all the drop down values

2. Create a configured field to link those values.

Can you please elaborate how do we do Step 2.

For Selection fields you can attach standard search helps in transaction /SAPTRX/UCCF.

So Steffen, the dropdown values first need to be maintained in Se11 and then we do the above step?

Yes. You create an F4 Help in SE11 and attach it to you configured field afterwards.
