Now my question is how SAP CRM system register in SAP PI SLD(SAPSLDAPI) since it has alredy points to solution manager SLD.

Cab any one please suggest the possible solutions to do this?

Thanks!

Hi SAP,

You can resynchronize the content of sld from sld1 to sld2.

Now its depend on the version SAP Netweaver .

If your SAP Netweaver version is 7.02 , then it is not possible to transfer the content from one sld to another.

If your SAP Netweaver is 7.11 and 7.3 then you can transfer the content in bidirectional.

If your SAP Netaweaver is 7.0 or 7.01 , you need to export the content and import to the PI Landscape.

or

With the help data supplier you can move the content of PI SLD to CRM SLD.

What you are going to want to setup is a central SLD and a local SLD.  You can continue to point your CRM system to your Solution Manager SLD and also have your PI system sync it's SLD with Solution Managers SLD.

Steps to setup PI to sync with Solution Manager's central SLD.

  1. First and foremost backup your existing SLD.  I cannot stress how important this is to do.  If something gets messed up it is really difficult to manually clean things up.  I've attached directions for backing up the SLD for you.
  2. Next you are going to want to ensure that your SLD CIM and CR patches are the same across your systems.  This will make your life a lot easier in the end.
    1. Here's a link to SAP help on how to update the SLD, unfortunately I do not have any documentation handy.  If you get stuck I can take some time to create a step by step guide for you.
    2. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/42/3a420910af11d6999400508b6b8b11/frameset.htm
  3. Back up your SLD again, save the backup file with a different name (e.g. postupdate or something similar)
  4. Connect to PI Local SLD: ex: http://hostnameofpiserver:5xx00/sld
  5. Click on Administration
  6. Click on Synchronization
  7. Click on Add
  8. Then click on Next
  9. Source URL should be your central SLD information
    Source
    URL: *: http://solutionmanagerhostname:5xx00/
    Source User: * j2ee_admin
Source Password: password for solution manager j2ee_admin account
  10. Click on Next
  11. The source rank has to be a different number for each system.  The lower number is the source or central SLD, the higher numbered rank is the local SLD.

  12.    Rank values must be 0 or greater and each system must have a different number.
  13. Once you click next after entering in the second system you should see a screen similar to this one.
  14. Once you click finish you should see the following
  15. Click on the Full Sync button
  16. Once the full sync is done click on the Auto-Refresh button

Now that you have your PI SLD syncing with your solution manager SLD you should be all set with SLD synchronization.  Let me know if you have any issues or have any questions.
