Syntax error in RS_TCO_ACTIVATION_XPRA in phase XPRA_TRANS

Dears,

our upgrade to Netweaver 740 for our BI Development system BWD is
stopped in phase XPRA_TRANS.

After some check we found the problem seems to be the report
RS_TCO_ACTIVATION_XPRA itself; trying to run it in foreground it goes
in short dump for syntax error in CL_UJO_TQIMPL=================CP.

It's not possible to download the full dump; selecting one of them an
empty page appears.

We try to go ahead anyway, selecting

'Accept and ignore non severe'

errors' but it does not work.
The upgrade continue to stop here.

What we have to do to continue with the upgrade ?

Any advise ?

Hi Mariani,

Could you please check UJO_XT_TQ_VP is active or not , if not active please try to activate it.

and repeat the phase.

The problem is that I do not know what the object  UJO_XT_TQ_VP  is supposed to be.

It does not exist in SE38. I'm not able to find it in SE80.

Any advise ?

Hello Roberto

I think, I was similar problem, MAYBE, the same. I implemented note 1629923.

1. Open Transation SE38.
2. Execute report "SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN".
3. Provide the below values in the selection screen.
OBJECT = SKIP_TCO_ACTIVATION_XPRA
VALUE = X
Choose Insert radio button.
4. Execute.

Then I choose "Accept and Ignore non severe errors". In my case "the SUM does allow to go ahead" 😉

Note 824109 - XPRA - Activation error in NW upgrade. XPRA installs technical BW Content objects that are necessary for the productive use of the BW system. (An error occurs during the NetWeaver upgrade in the RS_TCO_Activation_XPRA XPRA. The system ends the execution of the method with status 6.

Thanks for the note, but it does not help.

We got rc 12 for this report , and in any case the SUM does not allow to go ahead with "Accept and Ignore non severe errors".

So we are really in stuck with this.

have you tried to regenerate your class? In case it's returning a syntax error or you try to fix it (maybe paste here the error message) or you open an oss message

Last but not least what target package are going to ?

here the error I found into the trace file of the workprocess executing the program.

I tryed to run the report  RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE and infact it goes in error on include CL_SNAPT_TRANSLATION===============CM002, so we can say there is something wrong on the SNAPT_ABAP2XML transformation.

Any advise ?

well

there are different objects called transformation. In bw bi you can find transformations under rsa1, metadata repository and then click on the option transformation and specify the name you want to find

...but here it looks to me a different object, from the error log can you doubleclick and go to the line where is the abap statement in error? then doing doubleclick on the object that is called, can you go further or it prompts you to create a new object

Can you also paste the target support packages you are going to?
