Dear All...
Working on SCM 7.0...SNP Optimizer.
Working interchangiability for one of the Business scenario....
Scenario >
SKU A at Plant 1 (Mfg) - capacity 10 MT/day
SKU B at Plant 2 (Mfg) - capacity - 20 MT/day
Stock of SKU A and B = 0
Interchangiability - A to B
SKU A and B are same Types of SKUs, If demand of say 200 MT/day comes on SKU A at Plant 1 , then at SKU A 10 MT planned order to be create and after this the remaining demand to be interchange on SKU B and plan a planned order of 20 MT at SKU B at Plant 2.
Interchangiability - B to A ... same as above
Question : How we can accomplish the above requirement in APO using interchangiability ? I have tried using the FFF clas function , but interchangiability is not happening!
Please let me know in detail ....In FFF the steps to be followed while creating the FFF class and subsets using the above scenario.
Thx in advance
Regards,
Rajesh patil
Hi,
Conifguration:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ewm70/helpdata/en/1d/0ee13dc2fd605ae10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
Application Setting:
define member type - product
maintain replacement type - S_FFF (activate only this for your scenario)
select interchangeability type - FFF class (set to active and default)
Optimizer profile:
In general constraints, under product interchangeability select FFF class.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Hi Rajesh,
Before answering I wish to understand following from you:
Suppose both plant 1 & 2 produce same Product - Product A.
Plant 1 - Cap/Day - 10 MT
Plant 2 - Cap/Day - 20 MT
Demand of Product A at Plant 1 is 30 MT. Plant 1 will be able to provide 10 MT only. Now you wish to shift the remaining demand to Plant 2 due to capacity constraints at Plant 1. Correct ?? and supply remaining demand from Plant 2.
If the answer of above question is yes, will you please let me know, how you are planning to shift this demand from Plant 1 to Plant 2.
Regards,
Amit Hiran
