Authorization Group are assigned to Categories in Product Hierarchy maintenance.
As you can see, the Product Master data in AII is not a plant -location specific, if we want to limit users to display only or allow to change for a particular plant specific materials , then we can define plants as categories in Hierarchy maintenance and assign the authorization group to them.
these authorizations group then can be used in COM_PRD_CT authorization objects and define relevant roles for users.
