All,
I would like to rename Configuration Scenarios and communication channels in PI. Is there a way this can be done. I was hoping we can do this using dir API.
Hi Vicky,
As all mentioned above you can not rename the objects once it is created.
say you have sender cc called "A" and it is used in sender agreement.
now you want to rename sender cc "A" to "B".
first you have to create sender channel "B". then edit the sender agreement and select the sender channel "B".activate sender agreement.
now delete the sender channel "A" and activate it.
this is how you can rename the objects.

HI,
There is no such way to change the name of objects like channel and Component , So select the object and choose copy object then give new name for the object. After creation of new object delete the old object.

Hi Vicky,
as per my knowledge we cant change the configuration scenarios and communication channels name once created.
If you want to change the better option is create the new configuration scenario with your required name,
--> Assign the business systems
--> copy the remaining objects like communication channels, receiver determination etc. by using the option copy object.
--> To copy the object you just right click on the object, that you want to copy,
you will get the below screen
then select the communication component and give your desired name.
Then select your new configuration scenario name in " Add to Scenario".
like this you can do for the remaining objects..
Hope it will helpful...

It seems that the name of the CS/CC can't be changed once it has been created.
Maybe you can copy it to a different name and then delete the old one.
