SAP TAO Identifying Manual Test Cases from Automated Test Cases

Hi Team,

In our project for test option 2, our team has to have manual and automated test cases be in scope in SAP TAO. However, the team was only able to identify automated test cases.

Q1: Can SAP TAO identify manual test cases from automated ones?

Q2: What does SAP TAO need in order to identify manual test cases in scope?

It would be very much helpful if I get answers on the above questions. Thank you. Your help will be very much appreciated.

Julio,  TAO uses an HP QC API called OTA.  With this API TAO can retrieve the list of tests from QC, plus properties on them, like their type (Manual, automatic) etc.  You can see this in the QC UI tes type is the property that would identify the test type manual.  The manual test would be part of the test plan on QC, so I am not sure what you mean by in scope, if not defined witin the scope of the test plan?   Regards
