Could someone explain the fields document value and status/block while defining automatic credit control. Please explain with examples.

My doubt is this: don't we already specify the credit group which controls the transactions which will be blocked from processing if the credit limit is exceeded

Credit Control Area + Credit Group + Risk Category = Automatic credit control

Also, does the field status/block block a transaction without checking the credit limit? i.e, whenever this field is checked, block the corresponding transaction from processing. Again, how do we control WHICH document needs to be blocked?

please explain your answers with examples in an easy to understand manner.

Thanks

Hi Dear,

In Automatic Credit Control Document Value with reaction A or B and the Status Block has been checked -  System will carries out the credit check based on document value that you have specified in this field,

1. If the Reaction is A and Status/Block has checked then it will give warning message if the user crossed the the document value credit limit.

2.If the Reaction is B and Status/Block has checked then it will give Error message if the user crossed the document value credit limit

Credit check against maximum document value

Indicates that the system carries out a credit check based on a maximum
document value.

Use

The sales order or delivery value may not exceed the maximum value that you
specify in the adjacent field. The value is stored in the currency of the credit
control area. This type of credit check makes sense, for example, if you process
orders for new customers whose credit limits have not yet been defined. The
check can be initiated by a risk category which is defined specifically for new
customers

Best Regards,
