Dear Experts,

We have changed solution manager UME to ECC production UME for ADS configuration,it was working fine somedays fine without any problem.

now solution manager java instance is in down.

We have checked the logs it is showing problem in UME.

we tried to revert the UME but visual administrator is not connecting.

it is showiing the error "Unable to lookup connection default"

we have activated the super user in config tool.

How to sort it out.

Please help me.

Thanks a lot!

Pradeep

Hi,

did you change the ume persistence store of the solman as java from solman as abap to ecc as abap? This I do not recommend.

Info:

it is not necessary to change the UMEstore for ADS configuration.

If you need the ADS function in your ECC System you could also use the solman without changing his UMEstore .

If it is right and the solman as java worked fine for few days after changing the UMEpersistence to ecc system than the problem maybe caused be password policies.

Did you create the necessary user (e.g. j2ee_admin, j2ee_guest, sapjsf) in the ecc system? Have a look at their logon data in ecc system.

Is the sapjsf looked? Which kind of usertype (dialog, system, service ...) does he have?

Unlock the user and change it to service.

what says the log mentioned above from Marius.

Best Regards

Denis

Dear Denis,

I had forgotten about earlier client refresh on our ECC client. We did SAP_ALL profile in client refresh hence J2ee_guest and J2ee_admin User IDs were gone.

I have created again in ECC system.now Solution manager java instance is up and running.

Thanks a lot for you help!!

Thanks a lot Marius and Peter for your help!

Hi Pradeep,

have you checked the log files in the following directories ?

/usr/sap/SSM/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/

/usr/sap/SSM/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/configtool/

also double check and make sure the entries in the configtool is correct (UME)

check the admin/password should be that of the J2EE_ADMIN user (if you are using this user)

Best Regards
