RISTRA20 Job generating the huge amount of logs

Dear Experts,

Recently we have done kernel upgrade 7.20, after kernel upgrade Production system generate high volume of redo log files When run Ristra20 job in background . Could you please provide the solution.

DB - ORACLE10g

OS - HP-UX

Dear N S,

Is there any changes in duration of job, Redo log file increase is due to changes in the data. It might be that the job is updating or inserting the data much faster then previously.

No any variant and no any plan has increased recently.

Job is running approx 2 hrs with process the data around 7,679 plans. 100 redo log files (Avg 97 MB / file) generating during this 2 hrs. We have also check at Quality system same qty log files generating there.

this is happening after the kernel upgrade only.

Well a job should not just produce extra redologs just because a kernel upgrade. Have you tried with a different version of the kernel?...

Dear Juan,

Earlier same job was running perfectly, After kernel upgrade this job generate every minute log files.

No, we have not tried on different ver of kernel, We have only one SAP ECC product.
