Hi

when updating the kernel 720_rel 402 it is giving following error :

Its AIX 6.1

and kernel in NON -unicode

Solution in our case is by upgrade OS AIX from 5.1 to 6.1

i have been also provide the necessary permission and sidadm ownership to the all uncar files in exe folder  but disp+work is not working correctly.

Hi Ashish,

With root user run slibclean after that ipcs and clean any shared memory. Then run disp+work with <sid>adm It will work.

Even i have got the same error after my kernel upgrade to 721_EXT and it was solved as below.

Running slibclean with saproot has solved my problem, after slibclean with root logout and login check.

Please check if the path of the new kernel has been added to environment LIBPATH.

And please also try to reboot the OS to clear share memory and see how it goes.

Hi Ashish,

Please ensure that you have renamed the .so & .a files located in the exe folder and you have overwritten the existing kernel directory with the new binaries.

Can you tell me when exactly you are getting this error  ?

You basically need to extract the SAPEXE and SAPEXEDB files to the /sapmnt/SID/exe location and then copy them to /usr/sap/SID/DVEBMGS00/exe and /usr/sap/SID/SCS01/exe locations

The simplest way is to shoot sapcpe as described in this SAP Note.
