Help: Copy order quantity to target quantity while BOM explosion

Dear export,

I used a sales BOM, which will explode in sales contract.

One of the component is using billing plan, so target quantity is required.

But my BOM header (item cat grp = LUMF) is using order quantity. When BOM explodes, the components quantity as defined in sales BOM was not copied to the component target quantity.

Is there any solution for this issue?

Problem solved.

Within the original BOM, some items allow schedule line, some do not. So the target quantity and order quantity are used on the SO.

Now we have change all item to allow schedule line, then only order quantity is used on SO. BOM explosion can populate the quantity correctly now.

    In VTAA try to change with Copy requirments as "always an Item".....try this and let us know if at all any problem.

Thank you for your reply. But I am not working with document copy control here.

The BOM is exploded in VA01. The issue is the item target quantity was not filled according to the sales BOM. Only those with order quantities were copied.

Check whether the components validity date in CS02 is matches with the contract creation date.

The validity dates have no problem.
