Restriction in Material Master

Dear All,

I have an issue wherein I had maintained restriction for a characteristic in material master, so that the value would automatically get defaulted while configuring.

For example Char X with values X1 and X2. In the material master X1 was defaulted.

But now the issue is even after removing the default X1, it still appears in the configurator. If I check the information, it tells the restriction maintained at classification level, but I have removed the default in the material master but still it is appearing in the configurator. Can somebody please throw some light on why it is happening like this?

Hey Adhitya,

Check whether there are any "default" dependencies applied for that characteristics value, or even overwritten has been done at class level to make value as default.
