I have doubt.

Can it possible to send the File to RFC (sync) and get the response from RFC and send to file. wihtout using BPM.

How to handle request and reponse from RFC?

Hi Ravi,

What version of XI are you on ? if you are on XI 3.0 SP19 it possible to achieve this without BPM...

However if you are below SP19, you have to have a BPM to achieve this...

Hello Ravi ,

These is possible in SP19 to build the bridge of ASYN-SYNC and SYNC-ASYNC

without BPM check this link :

If you do not have any particular need for monitoring or troubleshooting in async/sync or synch/async communication, you can use the adapter bridge instead of sync/async communication in the Business Process Engine.

Hi Ravi,

by BPM, in IR ......you will have a recieve step to get source file.....then transformation step to map it to RFC target struc.....then a send step to send RFC to R/3....then a recive step to get RFC response msg......then a transformation step to map it to target file struc......then a send step to send the file to target system by recieve File Adapter......

In ID, you will have a sender file adatper , receiver RFC adapter, sender RFC adapter and reciver File adapter......

Hi Ravi,

you can make RFC call from the XSLT mapping and in this case you can handle request and response without BPM.

if have sp19 of XI3.0 then you dont need BPM otherwise you need a BPM to implelemt this.

with SP19 you have adapter mdoule to make asych-synch bridege.
