Hello Experts,
I have a plant in which there are 38 shipping points assigned to it.
I am now doing the shipping point determination ( SPRO-> Log. Execution -> Shipping -> Basic shipping functions -> Shipping point and goods receiving point determination -> assign shipping points).
I have assigned one shipping point as the primary shipping point and some others as manual shipping points. At the location mentioned above, I am able to assign at the maximum 21 shipping points (one primary + 20 manual shipping points).
I need to add 17 more shipping points to the same plant. How can I do this? Do I have to take the help of ABAP to come up with a new table or something that will be checked over and above the SPRO configuration mentioned by me? Is there any standard way to do it?
Regards

Hi,.
So your client has many shipping points. can't you differentiate with shipping conditions or loading group. In your scenario all 38 shipping points determined based on same combinations? Try to see if you can manage with various other combinations. If not, then you might have to create a Z table maintain all these and you have to pick-up relevant one accordingly.

If this doesn't work then think of storage location specific shipping point.
See the SAP help on this.

Thanks for your reply.
However, I could not find the following location in SPRO:
Customizing for Logistics Execution under Shipping ->Basic Shipping Functions ->Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination ->Set Up Storage-Location-Dependent Shipping Point Determination-> Assign Shipping Points according to Storage Locations.
I am using the following location :
Customizing for Logistics Execution under Shipping ->Basic Shipping Functions ->Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination ->Assign shipping points.
I think I will have to go for the Z table finally, so I will talk to the ABAPer about it.

Sai,
or loading group.
Would your suggestion with loading group work?
In OVL2 for Loading group Y001, shipping point ZZZ9 has been maintained.
In MM03, Material has loading group Y110
In OVL2, for Loading group Y110, the shipping point ZZZ9 is not maintained.
In VA01, create a sales order, then how can the shipping point be changed to ZZZ9?
In other words, where can the loading group changed (from Y110 to Y001)?
Sai,
My point was that while shipping conditions can be changed in the sales order; the loading group can not be.
Thus either the OSS note suggested by Jurgen or the z-table suggested by you would be the alternatives.
Exploring to change loading group, in the sales order Or changing the shipping condition might not work (for this requirement).
Thank you for suggesting to look in to the factors that play a role in determining Shipping point!
Papri,
In case of shipping points maintained in a z-table, if (at any time) user(s) would like to see which shipping points are assigned to Shipping conditions, Plant and Loading group, then where would he/she be able to see these?
This would not be visible in OVL2.
For maintenance of this table, a transaction code would have to be created also.
Therefore I think implementing the Oss Note suggested by Jurgen would be the best solution (for this requirement).
This problem is solved. Once the note was implemented and the SAP table TVSTZ 's capacity increased to 40 shipping points, I could assign all the required 39 shipping points to the plant from SPRO itself.
Thanks for all the guidance on this.

You have already 21?
in standard there are only 11
so you must have implemented the modification from OSS Note 101254 - Enhancement to shipping point determination
the one who had implemented it in your system had probably thought that 10 more than standard would be enough....seems he was wrong
