Variable Notification Templates GRC 10.0

Good afternoon,

I am trying to customize the notification template of the Access Request Workflow. I would like to know if it is possible to create new variables for each template and if so....then how to create a new variable in one of the notification templates which will be a substring of an already existing variable?

Could it be done???

Hi John,

In the MSMP configuration, Select the process ID and goto Step 4 Variables & Templates kindly add a Z variable. Now in the R/3 system goto transaction SE 37 and enter the function module GRAC_NOTIF_VAR_RULE_AR. Now copy this function module into a Z Function Module and add the logic for the Z variable in the function module. Activate the FM

Open the MSMP configuration and goto Step 2. Maintain Rules. Add this newly create Z function module as a Notification Variables Rule. Save and activate the configuration. Also maintain this Z Function Module in the Notification Rule under Global Rules in Step 2. Activate the MSMP workflow configuration.

Now you can use this variable in the document object.
