Microsoft Update breaks Identity Center

Dear all:

am I the only one concerned or does a recent Microsoft Update break the Identity Center for you as well? the only work around I have is not to upgrade but this may not always be a solution, especially at customer's sites where the update policy is set somewhere else....

Thanks,

Sietze

This problem is solved by deleting the Windows profile of the affected user(s).

Sietze,

Wouldn't this issue happen the next time if there is a windows update. When I searched for fixes in Microsoft website, few of them resolved it either by removing the .NET Framework update or applying Hotfix rollup update. Glad you found another way

Cheers,

Murali

I wonder if SAP provides a patch for this. As you rightly pointed out, the cause of the error is an Microsoft update on the system - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/915797

That Microsoft KB article is specifically for Windows 2003 and we're talking Windows 2008 here. It also says that one can ignore this message but this is also not true for the Identity Center. It really crashes after this pop up .
