Hello Ram,

Pls cross-check your exchange profile parameters once. Pls make sure that the following parameters are provided with the value of ur instance number i.e., value of XX in DVEBMGSXX

com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.r3.sysnr & com.sap.aii.ib.server.connect.webas.r3.sysnr

Pls check all the exchange profile parameters i.e.,

for the parameters ending with - *httpport - provide ur http port number: 5<Inst Num>00

for the parameters ending with - *mshttpport - provide value as: 81<Inst Num>

for the parameters ending with - *host - provide ur FQDN

for the parameters ending with - *sysnr - provide ur instance number as said above

Hope this helps.

Hi Bharat,

If you have checked exchange profile and found everything ok then I would advise you to check SAP profile files where in message server port and other system ports are maintained. there might be possibility that OS level profiles might have changed and so the parameters are not readable by PI components.

Let me know if there were any recent changes made to the system or else definitely your exchnage profile has some issue. Please cross check the same and let me know.

Cheers !!!

Hi Ashish,

I di not change any parameters in instance profile & default profile .

The only change i did is self registration of XI components in SLD .

Further after logging a case with SAP , they advised me to do few component patches upgrade and they are done suucessfully,,,,,,But still issue persists after that tooo.

Now SAP has given me to do few things to get detail observation as per the below link &  i cannot understand from step 2

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28JSTTSG%29%28P4%29+P4+Test+Client

Let me know if you can help me!!!!

Not a problem. I went through the URL and didnt find any difficulty in steps proovided there.

if you follow point 1, you will be ending up with a RAR/ZIP file, just extract the contents of that in your system.

You will have to copy that folder to your SAP system OS level.

In the extracted contents there will  be Start_P4TestClient.bat file, just edit that file in notepad/wordpad.

Whatever parameters are to be maintained as per the point 2, are already having path in the file but they are maintained as of windows SAP server so you can change that location as per your SAP instance.

     set CLIENTLIB_DIR=D:\usr\sap\LKG\J00\j2ee\j2eeclient

     set LOGGINGLIB_DIR=D:\usr\sap\LKG\J00\j2ee\j2eeclient

     set EXCEPTIONLIB_DIR=D:\usr\sap\LKG\J00\j2ee\j2eeclient

     set IAIK_DIR=D:\usr\sap\LKG\J00\SYS\global\security\lib\tools

One more thing, bat files are meant to execute on windows machine only, not on unix/linux server so if this is not the case you might have to revert to SAP asking their recommendations in such case.

Cheers !!!

Thanks a lot mishra for guiding me in the right track,

I followed the point 1 & ended up with RAR file too.Extracted the P4Testclient.RAR file too.

Secondly let me know where to copy that file in OS level, shall i copy it in /tmp for temporary purpose ...?

Thirdly as mentioned by you it is bat file specific for Windows OS , but my system is Solaris box.

Let me post to sap on this and will get there reply on this with proper file specific for my OS too

Many thanks !!!!

Hi Ashish,

The issue is resolved .

After updating the issue to SAP, we obtained the Start_P4TestClient.sh file. Then after executing the

Start_P4TestClient.sh file we were able to note down that there was issue with RMI-P4 port.

The RMI-P4 port 50004 was disabled due to  few reasons(firewall issue).... in WTS machines where we launch the SAP application .Once when port 50004 was opened in Windows terminal server, there after communication between MS http port & RMI-P4 port were fine &  we were able to open the ESR & IB properly .

Many thanks for your help!!!!
