We have a native iPad application working with SUP 2.1.3 .

On Wifi networks, we have no problem, but on 3G connections , sometimes we can not sync with SUP.

We found that in Known Issues

Hi Busra,

well in my experiance in working with SUP 2.1.3, I have never came across such issue, few questions I have

  1. Is your SUP instance is hosted at a public server and can it be accessible from the out side network?
  2. Are you using Relay server to connect from the out side network over 3G ?

Hi,

  1.     Yes, Our SUP instance is hosted at public server and i can access from out side network. When user change connection, wifi to 3g , problem exists.
  2. We aren't using Relay server .

Thanks,

Hi Busra,

In that scenario, you can use 5001 port for device registration and 2480 for replication based synchronization and 5001 for message based synchronization.

For security reasons it is always advisiable to have the relay server instead of exposing SUP

Hi Bursa Deniz.

Base on my knowledge, if you dont use relay server then your application need to in the same LAN with server. If you want to access from outside network you should try to use relay server .
