Netweaver PI cache connectivity test failed

Good day!

I installed SAP NW731 PI. My DB hostname is called torsqld1 (MSSQL 2012). I ran PI wizard successfully and was able to get successful test results when I ran:

a) cache connectivity test - http://xxxxxxxxxx.domain.xx:51200/rwb/sub/conntest

b) sld registration - http://xxxxxxxxxx.domain.xx:51200/rwb/FrontComponent/FC_Secure.jsp?doAction=showTools

c) pi component monitor - http://xxxxxxxxxx.domain.xx:51200/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd/FloorPlan...

Then, we implemented AlwaysOn.  After AlwaysOn implementation, the ST04 reported that it can see DBhostname torsqld1a. However, we configured that torsqld1 is still used as the alias name.

When we did the testing again, the:

a) cache connectivity test - http://xxxxxxxxxx.domain.xx:51200/rwb/sub/conntest - FAILED

Integration server - ABAP - RED

c) pi component monitor - http://xxxxxxxxxx.domain.xx:51200/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~lm~itsam~ui~mainframe~wd/FloorPlan... -

Integration Directory - self test FAILED

Any idea what could have caused this issue to happen?

Issue was resolved. The PIDIR<SID> in the PI server needs access to the authorization object S_ICF. Add  this object to the existing role or create a new single role  with this auth object, generate and add the new role to PIDIR<SID>. Tests are now green.
