Rates for Resources

PPM Experts,

Can you tell me where in IMG the rates for the 'Resource' can be maintained?

I understand that the rates for the Tasks & Roles are maintained in the 'Define Tasks Type' and 'Define Role Type' nodes.

But I do not know where the rates for the Resources can be maintained. Please help.

If you search the custimizing of rate it self (not the assignment to role or task), then see customizing:

SAP Portfolio and Project Management

Project Management

Connection to External Systems

Accounting Integration

Define Cost/Revenue Rates

Thanks for the reply. However, I believe the IMG note you are refering to is for defining the rate. How to assign these rates to a 'resource' is the question.

I thought, your already know it, as you mentioned the right node  'Define Role Types' at beginning.

Customizing:

SAP Portfolio and Project Management

Project Management

Resource Management

Basic Settings for Roles

Define Role Types

Double click of the role type, field 'Cost/Rev. Rate'.

That is for 'Roles' & not for 'Resources'.

O.K, get your question.

Normally I use the term 'Business Partner', so that I misunderstood your question.

Goto the backend using BP,  enter the ID of the BP you would like to maintain.

Choose 'Disply in BP role' = WFM001, tab 'Costing' Field 'Cost/Revenue Rate'.

P.S: not sure, if you have the same Customizing setting in BP or not.

Dear Zenbho,

I tried to follow your instruction, but the field for assigning the cost rate to the ressource is shown as disabled.

Are there any preconditions which need to be taken, to edit this field?

Hello Bhushan,

You can maintain manually the rate of the resource in

Portfolio and Project Administration --> Edit Resource --> Cost/Rev Rate.

Hi Clara,

Thanks for helping me to find the exact place. However, that field is grayed out. Not sure why. I have full SAP access & authorization including the Std SAP role "SAP_CPR_RESOURCE_MANAGER". So any idea why it is not editable for me?

Hello,

You can open this field in the settings :

SPRO -> PPM --> Global Customizing --> Global Field settings --> Define Custom Field  Cofig -->  Object type BUPA -->  Configure here the field Rate as editable.
