Internet exporer error while Executiong SOLMAN_SETUP transaction

HI Experts,

I am facing an issue while executing the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP.

I login to the SOLMAN using solman_admin, but when i execute solman_setup an IE page appears saying "Internet explorer cannot display the webpage"

The address that it is taking is as below which i think is missing the hostname. The parameters are correct.

https:///sap/public/mussocntl?sap-client=100

One more thing we used to use this transaction before in the same system but when we are trying now we are getting this error.

Please help.

Hi Saurabh,

Apart from the ICF service, please perform the following activities:-

1. Execute  SMICM T-Code > GoTo > Services and then select HTTP and select SERVICE > CHANGE . Change the maximum processing time to 3600 .

After that try to execute SOLMAN_SETUP.

2. If still you face issue, then check the browser compatibility. In IE, you can do the same under PAGE > COMPATIBILITY VIEW SETTINGS > Then add the page and try .

Please let me know if still problem persists.

HI Saurabh,

try to check your host file please maintain Fully qualified Domain. And please check your web dynpro service is active or not.

/nsicf----->default_host---->sap--->bc---->webdynpro service is active or not.

Hi Saurabh,

Take a look at this note : 1514652 - Some ICF Services are not activated - Solution Manager. Furter more, your address is very strange. It should be like http://host:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/... Is other service are working (i.e. solman_workcenter) ?

No solman_workcenter is also not working.

The note that you specified doesnot point to any specific services. I am getting this strange address, it should be like the one you mentioned that is why i am worried.

Check on SICF transaction service "wd_sise_main_app" if the service is correct you will get an url like that:

https://domain.com/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app?sap-language=EN

Thanks for your reply

When i Tested the mentioned service the Logon page appears and says

Protocol cannot be switched to HTTPS; HTTPS not configured/active

We have resolved this issue. Actually some days before we have applied security parameters in our SOLMAN. We have set one parameter to 1 after which it stopped working. The parameter is

login/ticket_only_by_https

We have reset it to zero and it is working fine now.

But the question still remain that if i set this parameter to 1 what else configuration is required to set up this over HTTPS.
