Shipping cost estimation

Hi

   I need to create function module which should return me the shipment cost estimate information based on sales order and item number. Is there any function module or tables which takes sales order and item number as input and returns shipping cost information.

... there is a shipping cost estimation function in the sales order... Somewhere under extras or so.
