Hi,

Action - performing a systemcopy

When doing the restoration operation, it fails with return code 3.

Error screen shot is attached.

There, in the error it mentioning as .... NOT enough disk space. But when checking the disk space its having whole lot of space

Further , i have removed some of the datafiles as well, to acquire more space. But same result

Any idea whats wrong with this !!!

Hi Zerandib,

It is open that you have a free space problem. Be sure that all the restore media fit into the "/oracle" logical volume. It requires ~82 GB free space. Try to move some of the files under "/oracle" to somewhere. Then try again the restore

Hi Zarandib

if i may ask why is /oracle so full if you only restoring the database now ?

do you have another db instance running ?

Yes Marius,

Already there was an instance, with SID - TST;

Hee im going to perfrom a system copy. So after the systemcopy the new SID would be PRD

So , your suggestion is to replace the error message with warning message. Is that so;

But why its shooting an error, since there are more than enough space to deal with !

It requires 82 GB,.... already its having more than 200+ GB

No it says you need 82 gig MORE space not total

Yes if you are sure there is enough space then use it.

i would really clean out the directory first with all unused files

Hi Zarandib

For BRRESTORE you can now also generally replace the error output (termination) in the case of lacking disk space with a warning (option to continue). To do this, you have to set the following environment variable: Unix: setenv BR_NSC 1        NT: set BR_NSC=1However, you should only use this option if you are absolutely sure that the available disk space is sufficient.

hi zerandib

Please check the size of backup and then check the available free space.

probally the size of backup is more than the available space.

hope it helps
