Hi Experts,
I would like to know what is AAE, I am aware the AE is the engine which is used to run the adapters for communication with various sources ( DB, File, ECC..etc.,).
am a starter in PI.
Thanks in advance,
Sharma.

Hii Sharma,
A few cents,
Check this blog http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2012/01/11/installation-options-for-process-... as summing up, also it helps you to can differenciate between the three kinds of adapters engines AE, AAE and AEX.

Hi Sharma,
In simple terms,It increases the performance when compared to normal scenario(AE-->IE-->AE)
Integrated configuration object used for configuring local processing within advanced adapter engine.AAE provides routing and mapping services locally.
It works for adapter types hosted on the Adapter Engine (IDoc-, http-, XI-, iSpeak-adapters excluded)
If you are using dual stack with complex mapping or using adapters that sits in IE then go with normal scenario.
For bypass ,pass through scenarios and if you have scenarios which demands good performance go with AAE.
With AAE will miss our beautiful ABAP stack monitoring .Monitoring for AAE in RWB is not that much handy compared to SXMB_MONI.

Venkat
