Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, moderator please move to the appropriate forum if necessary!
I'm having an issue with the SAP GUI Installation Server. I have it installed, and I've created my "Package". But when I run the package it's saying there are missing pre-requisites. It then presents me with a interactive window with the name of my package on it. I can then check mark that name, click "Next" and it proceeds to successfully install the package.
Clearly I'm missing something! How can I get it to install properly?
Hi Martin,
You have to fullfill the prerequisites to Install the complete GUI package without any errors.
Please refer to the following links for SAP GUI 7.30 Installation (SAP GUI 7.20 is out of support)

Thanks

Just as a side question. How do you handle installing over a slow WAN?
One thought I had was to create a DFS share out of the SAPInstall share and replicate it down to my other server, then install over the DFS share. But no idea how Automated Workstation Install service is going to deal with that. Does it use the installation path as it's path to look at the package or does it go back to the SAPInstall server (assuming there's something in the Package configuration pointing to the server)?
