Migration from 12.0 to 14.0

Hi,
My client want to migrate from xMII 12.0 to MII 14.0.
Is it possible to migrate from 12.0 to 14.0 directly or need to upgrade to 12.1/12.2 and from 12.1/12.2 to 14.0?
The PAM (product availabilty matrix) is saying that the migration will be 12.0 to 12.1/12.2 and 12.1/12.2 to 14.0
I read the upgrade guide document for 14.0 (Component Upgrade Guide SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence 14.0) which explains more detail about migration from 11.5 to 14.0 but not much about 12.0 to 14.0. So get confused much.
Please any one help me about how to migrate from 12.0 to 14.0.
Thanks,
Raman N

Hi Raman,

It is possible to migrate from 12.0 to 14.0.

This you can confirm from the SAP MII 14.0 release and info note(note number : 1693127).

Also I read the "Component Upgrade Guide SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence 14.0".

In the document it is written that you only need to export the configurations and projects from the source 12.0 system and then import the configurations and projects into the 14.0 system.

Hope this clears your confusion.

Rohit Negi.

Hi Raman

Direct in place upgrade is possible for MII 12.0 to MII 14.0. You need to check out how the NW 7.0 Server can be upgraded to NW 7.3. Once that is done you can just deploy the MII 14.0 SCAs on the upgraded NW server.

You may also use SUM tool to do all of this in one step.

Raman,

MII 12 and 12.2 are based on netweaver and performs same in many ways. So, from my knowledge, migrating from 12.2 to 14.0 is same as 12.0 to 14.0 .

Thanks

Hi Raman,

Hari is correct.

The procedure in the document is regarding the migration from 11.5 to 14.0 as user needs to run the

migration tool for this.

From 12.0 and upwards, migration process is same.

If you are not using any applets in that irpt. try to change the extension to .html and see what happens.

Thanks

Hi Neha,

Try to publish the folder and see if it works.

I saw a similar kind of problem getting solved by this approach in the following thread.
