Is planning possible in apo for mrp type P3

Hello all,

Just wanted to understand if planning is possible in APO for a material with MRP Type as P3.

Recently saw such a scenario and wanted to understand if this is possible when MRP type is not X0.

Hi Preethyi,

The external planning is possible if you change MRP type configuration in ECC.

But as Mike said, It's not logical to carry out planning both in ECC and APO.

Hi,

We can plan the MRP type P3 in ECC and APO system. Mostly scenarios work with MRP type X0 only.

Function Of MRP type P3: Order proposals that lie within the planning time fence are not firmed automatically. The order proposals required to cover the requirements are moved to the end of the planning time fence.

Hi Preethyi,

What are you trying to accomplish?  The primary danger is that a MRP Type P3 will allow you to plan in both ECC and APO which may be undesireable.

The short answer is that you can plan in APO if the ECC MRP type is P3 instead of X0.
