Hi Experts,

I want to connect my SAP CRM to extract Data from  MSSqlServer 2005 on Windows.

I found this notes:

Note 1644499 - Database connectivity from Linux to SQL Server

Note 1316740 - Set up remote monitoring for Microsoft SQL Server databases

My doubt is according to the extraction of data... I know it is possible for BW:

Note 512739 - BW external DB Connect for MS SQLServer

What about CRM?

Regards.

Within this SAP note refer section

Yes, at least for the DBCON case as long as you use the Microsoft ODBC driver for Linux. Instructions are given in SAP note 1644499, which you have already found.

Hi Samuli,

So for CRM data extraction  1644499 Note should work?

It's hard to understand from your message what you are trying to do. If you are trying to extract data from SAP CRM which is running on top of Windows/SQL Server to a non SAP server running on Linux, yes it's possible with the Microsoft ODBC driver for Linux. Understand however that accessing the database directly is not covered by your SAP license. Not to mention anything of the sort is not supported by SAP.
