Need help finding "Usage Type HR" in MOPZ

Hello World,

I apologize in advance if I chose the wrong forum to post this, but despite my many years in SAP, this is the first time I've come to the SCN for help.

I am preparing the installation for an ECC5.0 system to ERP6+EHP6 (AIX+Oracle).

That by itself is straight forward enough, but now the business also wants to include/activate the HR component during the upgrade.

The silly thing is, I can not find the "Usage Type HR", which I am supposedly to chose during MOPZ, so I get it all included in the package list.

Try as I might, all I can find is "Human Capital Management" under "Technical Usages", but that doesn't sound right.

We are on SolMan 4.0 and except the (missing) HR components, everything else seems to work OK im MOPZ.

But I need that HR stuff included, or I'll have to explain to the biz why we need a second go @ it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Donald

Thanks, am going to read your links ASAP.

Other (silly) question, which XML file do I use for SUM?

The "System specific XML for SLM" or the "Stack Delta Configuration XML" file?

Both are offered in step "Select Files" of MOPZ.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Folks,

I would still like to get some feedback on the following:

>Other (silly) question, which XML file do I use for SUM?

>The "System specific XML for SLM" or the "Stack Delta Configuration XML" file?

>

>Both are offered in step "Select Files" of MOPZ.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello

I believe you need to select the Stack Dela Configuration XML.

Never had this option to confirm, maybe because your Solution Manager is old.

Have a look at these SAP Notes.

Good Luck

Thanks a lot, that helped (and yes our SolMan is aaaaancient).

Now I've got trouble with a missing mount point:

"Enter at least one mount point Kernel DVD for OS AIX_PPC64 and Unicode"

I was sure I've uploaded everything MOPZ put in my Download Basket, but I hope that now I've found the missing image on SAPnet.

If not, then I'll be back, begging for more info 🙂

Thanks for all the help thus far.

OK, I have to give up.

I can't find the DVD image SUM is looking for.

Where can I find the DVD Kernel image for an ERP6+EHP6 upgrade ?

I don't know, it only says:

"Enter at least the mount point containing Kernel DVD for OS AIX_PPC64 and Unicode"

The darn thing is that I used a colleague's list who swears that "it worked" with his Upgrade just two weeks ago, down to the letter and I triple checked each & every file name on it.

I even specified all the mount points by hand, but all to no avail.

It drives me nuts, because by now I've tried almost every 7.x kernel image I could download from SAPnet 😞

Haaaa! I found the answer.

So much for trusting the download lists of co-workers who insist "that is the one that works!"

He gave me a non-unicode kernel to upgrade a UniCode system 😉

Now I found the right kernel and can continue.

Hi Donaldo,

Try as I might, all I can find is "Human Capital Management" under "Technical Usages", but that doesn't sound right.

You were on right track. It is Human Capital Management for HR related stuff.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info, but it doesn't really help me much further.

I had already select HCM, but then I'm being offered  a long list of Add-On Products in step 2.3, none of which just says "HR here (take me)".

Instead a few of them are described as "HCM localization for CEE countries", and I got no clue what CEE even stands for ...
