SAP ME 6.0 :Truncating Replacable parameters in Next Number Maintenance

Hi Friends,

We are trying to look for a way to truncate the value of replacable parameters in next number mainatenance.

For SFC release defined by material

Example: SFC number to be : ASP%SITE%00001

So here we are using the site name as replacable parameter and it works fine the result would be ASP#####00001

But I want to restrict the length of the replacable paramter to two using the 1st two letters of site name as ASP##00001

I looked into the help and found there is no direct way to achive this.

Have anyone faced similar problem and what could be possible solution to it...

Hello, Pushkar, and welcome back.

I would not call this a problem. If you use a replaceable parameter, it is expected that the parameter is displayed. If you need just a few letters, in particular for Site, I would use just those letters in prefix\sufix not as replaceable parameters.
