Profit center consistent from Sales order till billing

Hi,

Below is the scenario.

When I create a Sales Order, we give a Profit Center. That profit center is copied all along till billing by the system. However, there is an option to change the profit center during billing. I want to restrict that change i.e User shouldn't be allowed to input a different profit center versus sales order.

Is there any customizing setting involved or an enhancement for the same.

Hi

First, you can change in the copy rules, with a VOFM subroutine. For further information see SAP Note 1532865 - FAQ: Profit center in the billing document

Other way, is change it in the financial documents only. See Note 301077 - User exits for the interface to accounting.
