Connect SAP 40B to SLD - "Transaction RZ70 is unknown"

Hello,

I wanted to connect a 40B system to a SLD with the transaction RZ70.

But this transaction is unknown to the system. Error message: "Transaction RZ70 is unknown"

The software level is:

SAP_APPL                       40B        40B

SAP_BASIS                      40B        40B

SAPKH40B54

As far as I know sending system data to the SLD with the ta. RZ70 should be possible as of SAP Release 40B. Am I right?

Is this function delivered with a newer support package?

Hello,

In note 584654 which describes the Registration Setup of Data Suppliers
it states:

"Older systems can still log on to a central Landscape Directory as this
functionality is delivered with Support Packages."

And under referrence:

40B          SAPKH40B81

40B          SAPKH40B82

So you will need to update SAPKH40B82 to get this functionality.

Since release 4.0B, there is an SLD data supplier for AS ABAP. Always register an AS ABAP in SLD with transaction RZ70 and system information will be synchronized automatically with LMDB and SMSY. Cannot see which KB level but you are correct.
