FAX through SMTP

Hi All,

we are trying to configure FAX from SAP through SMTP node.

To send fax from sap thru SMTP we require any fax server?.

we have exchange server installed for email and i am trying to send fax from same SMTP node.

kindly advice.

Hi Hiten,

You can use ms exchange server for fax configuration using SMTP but you have to install fax server software on MS exchange server side and you have to activate fax services in MS exchange server.

Check with you MS exchange server administrator.

Hi Hiten,

You would generally need some kind of fax server or application infrastructure/service provider.

Rightfax is a well known example.

Also refer to document  FAX via STMP requirements from SAP AG.
