Hello All,

I have problem with consumption of High Amount of Memory by disp+work.exe process by SAPService(SID) user.

At OS level it shows various disp+work processes are consuming near about 35 GB of memory in production system. When I checked in SM50 there are enough waiting dialog process and further there is no background job is running in system.

I have also check in ST02 but there also there is no indication in Heap Memory.

Please let me know how to overcome with this issue. What are the further checks to solve this issue.

System Details

RAM 32 GB

CPU: IBM X Series Intel Xenon. 3.00 GHZ

OS Windows Server 2003

Database MSSQL Server 2008 R2.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Amit

Hi Amit,

Please check profile parameter in st02 , you can check em/* ztta* abap*  parameter and paste the result over here also please mention the avilable  memory on the server .

Please run sappfpar check pf=<instance profile> and paste the output here.

Hi Amit,

Check if any background job is/was running that needs to be stopped. Make sure it doesn't restart again. In case if the job start

Stop the MMC.

In your instance profile change btc = 0

then start.

Clean up your scheduled job, check any custom programs having any issues and report to ABAP.

Hope this helps.

Hello Krishna,

Thanks for input. But suggestion you have given is not possible with immediate effect. I have similar system configuration but I wont face problem on that systems. Is there any thing related Extended memory which I can check in Instance profile. Some profile parameters??
