Transaction solman_setup don't work

Hello,

I have install SAP Solution Manager 7.1 with Sybase Ase.

I'm new to SAP and I looked in the foruns and the sap information and every where tell to configurate the sap solution manager with the transaction SOLMAN_SETUP, but when I try to use it open a window in the Internet explorer and give me this error:

I looked in in foruns and i read that the SOLMAN_SETUP don't work on Internet Explorer and i try to copy the path to firefox and don't work to.

In firefox the path: http://virt0.ve.local:8000/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/wd_sise_main_app?sap-client=100&sap-language=EN don't work.

If i remove fe ve.local it chow me a window to logon.

I try to logon with user and password of that client and i receive this message:

500 SAP Internal Server Error

ERROR: Die URL enthält keine vollständige Domainangabe (virt0 statt virt0..). (termination: RABAX_STATE)

I know i must have de full hostname but don't work.

What configuration i must do to use solman_setup?

Hello,

It seems that the FQHN virt0.ve.local cannot be resolved by your PC,

Please maintain %WINDOWS%/system32/drivers/etc/hosts or your DNS server so that it can be

resolved to ip address.

You can use ping <FQHN> command to check it can be resolved to ip address.

If you would like to use another FQHN, please check note:

Hello to all,

Thanks for your ideias.

I have all services in Tcode SICF activates.

My server is install in a linux PC and my hosts have IPSAPSERVER smallhostname fullhostname.

I can't ping from another pc the ping virt0.ve.local only ping virt0.

I have icm/hostname_full = virt0.ve.local

My IE version is 10 but i can't use in firefox to.

what can it be?

Hi Leonor,

Maintain your host file in the system from where you want to configure solman_setup

<IP address of Solman System>      <Hostname>     <Fullyqualified Hostname>

And then try.

Check the value of profile parameter icm/host_name_full

The fully qualified host name should be stated there.

You need to activate the services in SICF.

If you go to tx SPRO, it will help you configure this.
