VEKP-RSNCD (Reason code for Handling unit need to update manually)

Hi Experts,

  Good Morning to all.

  I have a scenario where to update the reason code (RSNCD) field in the table VEKP.

  Normally the table filled with values for all fields including RSNCD.

  Sometimes the values for the particular reason code field will not be filled. In this case the field need to update manually.

  Ex : I have values for the fields 1) "Internal HU no"

                                               2) "Handling Unit" 

                                               3) "ID Type" 

                                               4) "Shipping Point"

But for this Handling unit , RSNCD(Reason code) field having null value (0). Now i need to manually enter the value.

I would like to know is there any standard function module which is directly updating this RSNCD field in the VEKP table?

Or is there any other way we can achieve this?

Dear,

You can update these Reason Code in VEKP Table in SE16 if your client is agree .

Thanks for showing interest on my thread.

  My client don't want to update the values directly in to table.

  Because we are receiving the reason codes from the client through IDOC.

What we exactly looking is that "BAPI", which will update the reason codes in a particular time gap. We just want to schedule bapi so that once IDOC produce the reason code that will be updated through the BAPI.

Let me know if you have inputs on this requirement.

I understood your query now but I dont know which Bapi can fulfill your requirement on this .Better to post this Query in ABAPer Forum ,I hope you will get answer over there .
