Hi Ishi,

Here is an overview of the overall intended purpose of
the Firefighter and how it should be used in your
Productive Environment.

From an audit perspective, usage of Firefighter should
be restricted to only emergency type situations.
Firefighter ID's should not be used to perform day to
day activities, even if those activities are deemed to
be critical.  Actions needed to be performed on an ongoing
basis should be done using normal login ID's.  Usage
of Firefighter ID's on a frequent basis is indicative
that normal user roles need to be updated to allow users
to perform the functions required for their jobs. If
conflicting functions are performed routinely by a user,
mitigation controls should be documented and assigned
to closely monitor those users.

Logging of actions performed by Firefighters allows
management to assess whether the Firefighter is being
used appropriately.  Logging at the action level normally
allows a manager (Firefighter Controller) enough information
to gauge whether the Firefighter usage is appropriate.
For example, a person using a Finance Firefighter should
theoretically only be accessing Finance type actions.  If
the Firefighter log shows the Finance Firefighter ID being
used to create purchase orders, this usage should be immediately
discussed with the person using the Firefighter to determine
the rationale.  This is regardless of what the actual data
was that the person put into the purchase order.

Hope this information helps.

Hi Ishi,

You should never schedule any of the background job's using the FFID. SAP does not recommend the use of FFID to schedule any background  jobs. Please refer to the SAP Note 1425409,1507798.

I hope this will help.

Thanks & Regards
