1. What are the XI Admin Role and Responsiabilites?

2. What are the day-to-day actives ,XI Admin activities ?

Installation & post Installation activaties .

Service pack upgrades, applying OS level secutrity patches.

First of all, installation,Configuration is part of Admin.

Here configuration covers-

1) Post installation

2) Partner Profiles,RFC destinations, User access

3) SLD configuration etc

4) Upgrade , applying SAP notes

5) Maintenance of the server

6) Transportation( CMS setup)

In the above if developer has access to these, then it can be done.

In production environment, admin should check Short Dumps (ST22 Transaction) more frequently, JCO communication failure, Queue Administration and Monitor, back up of processed XML messages etc.
