Hi,

Please refer to link http://scn.sap.com/message/14072092#14072092

Was there any related changes recently to host names or IP addresses?

Wed May 22 10:42:07 2013

*** WARNING => DpNetCheck: NiAddrToHost(1.0.0.0) took 4 seconds

***LOG GZZ=> 2 possible network problems detected - check tracefile and adjust the DNS settings [dpxxtool2.c  6393]

Maybe also check the network card of the hosts in question i.e. do hardware check maybe something is wrong there?

sidadm should be able to access read/execute all files.

Second question are all the instances on the same physical server?

If not can you ping those server on their hostnames? If not can you ping them on the IP address?

Kind Regards,

Johan

Hi Philip,

Please check whether connection to the database works using r3trans -d command.

If not post the logs from trans.log file

HI Phillip,

Is your database listener running?

Did you execute R3trans as sidadm or orasid user? Execute it as sidadm user!

Please paste the r3trans.log file here it has more detailed information us.

Hello Philip,

As Johan mentioned, what information do you see in the trans.log?

Also, what value do you have for variable ORACLE_HOME in the environment variable and listener.ora?

Right click your SID in SAPMMC --> Version Info.

You will get info like:

.....

PLY abcdef 0:

....

The directory is your exe dir, you only need to change it into ../work dir.

Attached the content dev_w0 from work dir.

Hi Phillip,

Your dev_w0 trace file is located in the work directory.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/47/ceaf2883423c85e10000000a42189c/content.htm

Usually located

/usr/sap/SID/SYS/DVEBMGS{XX}/work/dev_w*

Copy the file along with the R3trans.log did you check you can ping all the instances?

Regards.
